So, the day has finally arrived....The decision to move to New Caledonia has been made after hours, days, and moments of trials and tribulations, laughter and sorrow, screams and purrs....ahhhhh, the beauty of relationships eh? (Bun, please don't throw me out of the house for this).
Ok, so picture this. Malaysian girl decked out head to toe in Armani jeans, Armani tank top, Armani fabuloussssss white vest, Armani belt, Armani sunglasses, black gladiator rock star heels, ready to start Day 1 in Noumea with a bang. Trotted up to the immigration and got questioned like a dunggu and totally fell to pieces. Lady looked liked she was ready to throw me back on the plane as I wrote different dates on my embarkation card than my return date because of my Long Stay Visa Visa Information for Australians going to New Caledonia (but that's a whole different drama altogether). Anyhow, I was a furious dragon as my overexcited fiance who is from New Caledonia got off the plane from business class and went straight off without waiting for me. According to him, no place to wait for me. Beautiful. Anyway, nothing much happened after just that at customs, they took one look at my Malaysian passport, raised an eyebrow at me with a smirk and asked whether I have any "food" with me.
Officer: Non food?
Me: Nope!
Officer: Non noodles?
Me: No!
Officer: Youuuu sure?
Me: *stare*
Officer: Ok, d'accord go go!
Right...........doesn't mean I'm Malaysian that I will try to bring in frozen hokkien mee right?????
Then...
Went straight to my new home, saw the view, went to heaven and back again...
Above, me at the Anse Vata Beach which is 5 mins walk from my apartment.
Above, sunset I get to see everyday from my balcony.
Above, view of Mont Dore from my bedroom.
So far so good for Day 1.........zzzzzz......
